ISS flew over tonight. It went from left to right (and down) in this photo.
Some star trails by the Red Wing high bridge. A little more difficult, as there is a lot of light pollution in the downtown area.
Here is the International Space Station going over. I was testing exposure for my star trail photo, and just happened to catch it. I knew it was going over – but had not planned on a photo.
Here is my first successful attempt at star trails. Not much for scenery, since it was at my house.
Here is my attempt at capturing the Milky Way Galaxy. I took this shot on a trip to the Brainerd area. I am not able to see (or capture) the Milky Way in Red Wing, due to light pollution. I did happen to catch a meteor or iridium flare in the shot. I saw about 3-4 similar objects streak across the sky in the hour I was out. All of them were relatively faint, and short lived.
If you look closely (very closely) you can actually see some of Jupiter’s moons on each side. This is from last month.
